WHO WE ARE?
WINGS IN THE WIND is relatively new Christian motorcycle ministry/ fellowship organized for encouraging felllow believers in their walk with Christ, serving the community at large through various service projects, sharing the passion for riding motorcycles through group rides and outings, and witnessing for our Creator.
WHY DO WE NEED CHRISTIAN CYCLE CLUBS?
Motorcycling, possibly more than any other activity, seems to promote the enjoyment of group activities and fellowship. As each rider seeks to find those of common interest it is only natural for Christians to seek the fellowship of other Christians who have common beliefs or interests. The goal of Christian cycle clubs / ministries is to promote fellowship within the group, but also to be available to those who may have questions or needs outside the group. Visitors are always welcome at Christian cycle club events such as meetings or rides. We are always honored to have you learn more about "Wings in the Wind" by being involved at any of our functions.
WHAT IS DIFFERENT?
With the many different clubs to choose from, why did we feel the need to start a new one? Many of the members of the cycling community have time commitments in their lives that greatly limit their ability to commit time and funds to club activities, but at the same time have a desire to have periodic opportunities to fellowship and serve with other believers. "Wings in the Wind" has no participation or financial requirements, but is a supplier of "Opportunities" for fellowship, service, and group rides. We also gladly accept those who have recently started riding motorcycles and are still a little uncomfortable with their cycles.
OUR ACTIVITIES
We have monthly meetings in locations such as restaurants, members homes, or public picnic areas. After dinner we usually have a time of club announcements and disscussion of cycle related issues, and a safety lesson. We normally then have a short Bible lesson along with sharing and a time of prayer.
We also have longer planned group rides scheduled on weekends as well as short dinner rides during the week. The weekend rides normally vary from three hours to half a day. Many times the rides are planned for a stop at some eating establishment for a good meal and fellowship. The dinner rides are much shorter and are usually planned with a local restaurant as the destination.
We also enjoy participating is service projects. They vary according to the agenda of each individual chapter. Some involve the biking community, while others do not.
We are always honored to have visitors at any of our functions. Most of our members were one time visitors after all. Many came because they were Christians and wanted to ride with like minded individuals. Some came to enjoy the additional safety that riding in a group can provide. Others simply enjoy the camaraderie of fellow Christian bikers.
HOW CAN I BECOME A MEMBER?
Joining could not be easier. There are no participation or financial requirements. Motorcycle ownership is not mandatory. A prospective member simply needs to:
Agree with our Beliefs Statement and Conduct Statement.
Maintain the beliefs, and conduct a specified in the official statements.

THE MOTORCYCLES WE RIDE:
The type of cycles we ride varies as much as the members who ride them. We have cycles that range from the fast sport bikes to the comfortable cruisers and no one brand of motorcycles is preferred over any other. On long group rides we may divide into smaller groups to accommodate different riding styles, experience levels, and types of cycles. Of course we always meet at rest stops along the way.
